Giving Opportunities

A Life Changes With Your Gift

We believe that every child, regardless of personal circumstances, deserves the opportunity to experience the power of Jewish overnight camp. When you make a donation to NJY Camps, you are directly supporting our efforts to bring camp to as many Jewish families as possible, including those needing financial assistance or special needs programming. Each donation helps us continue fostering an environment where campers can learn new skills, develop greater self-confidence, build meaningful personal connections, and nurture a strong Jewish identity.

Annual Scholarship Campaign

Foggy lakeside mornings, fresh Poconos air, and the warm golden glow of Pennsylvania sunshine knows no monetary bounds. At NJY Camps, we follow that example. Annually, our organization gives out $2+ million in financial assistance to help campers experience their happy place. If you’re in search of a specific named fund, please go to our alumni funds.

Monthly Giving

Monthly giving takes the stress of remembering out of the equation. It’s as simple as putting a credit card on file and confirming how much you wish to give each month. Your only reminder will be in the form of a heartfelt message.

Gifts in Kind

Donations don’t have to be monetary! We accept everything from used cars to furniture. NJY Camps is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit and is in need of all kinds of donations. We will even come to your home to pick them up. A tax donation letter will be sent to you regarding the dollar value of your donation. Please contact us for more information.

Mitzvah Projects

Preparing for your Bar or Bat Mitzvah is an amazing time—a culmination of energy, excitement, hard work, and achievement. Mazel Tov! Combining a love of camp with this exciting rite of passage is a wonderful way to give back to NJY Camps. Consider theming your mitzvah project around camp and doing something that will support a cause that you’re passionate about. There are so many ways to do a mitzvah. Please reach out to us and we will help you explore some ideas.

Legacy Giving

Campers gathered together.

Launched in 2007, the Legacy Campaign is a major effort to ensure the future of Jewish camping. Legacy funds enable more children to attend NJY Camps, support programming and facility improvements, and remembers the lasting impact of our generous donors. Legacy giving allows NJY Camps to continue to be at the forefront of Jewish camping by providing the highest quality camp experience to generations of Jewish children today, tomorrow, and forever.

A multitude of vehicles, each with its own tax and philanthropic benefits, are available for donors to the NJY Camps Legacy Society:

Bequest: A donation established through a will reduces the donor’s taxable estate.

Life Insurance: Name NJY Camps as the beneficiary. The premiums are tax deductible.

Charitable Gift Annuity: This will provide the donor with income for life. The remainder of the trust becomes the property of NJY Camps.

IRA or Pension Plan: Provides future income to the camp and may provide significant tax advantages to the donor.
