What is the NJY Camps Legacy Campaign?

Launched in 2007, the Legacy campaign is a major effort to build a significant permanent endowment for NJY Camps.  The fund enables more children to attend NJY Camps regardless of family income.  The Campaign  will allow NJY Camps to continue to be at the forefront of Jewish camping by providing the highest quality affordable camp experience to generations of Jewish children today, as well, as in the future.

The more Jewish experiences a children receive, the more likely it is they will lead a Jewish life as adults

What are the options for giving?

A multitude of vehicles, each with its own tax and philanthropic benefits, are available for donors to the NJY Camps Legacy Society:

Bequest: A donation established through a will reduces the donor’s taxable estate.

Life Insurance:  Name NJY Camps as the beneficiary.  The premiums are tax deductable.

Charitable Gift Annuity:  This will provide the donor with income for life.  The remainder of the trust becomes the property of NJY Camps.

IRA or Pension Plan:  Provides future income to the camp and may provide significant tax advantages to the donor.
